Tis the Season for Holiday Treatments

With Halloween behind us and the recent east coast snowstorm, it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. I've already come across a number of seasonally inspired services that are sure to get clients in the holiday mood. The limited-time only Candy Cane Ritual ($120) at Reliquary Water Sanctuary & Spa at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas was one that caught my eye. Available through Dec. 29th, it treats guests to a sensory awakening using raw sugar cane juice combined with crystals and peppermint oil to exfoliate and moisturize the body. Therapists then rely on bamboo reeds to drum, tap, and roll over weary muscles. Peppermint also plays a starring role in the Peppermint Pedi ($90, 60 minutes), which tingles toes at Remede Spa at the St. Regis San Francisco. There, guests can also opt for the Sugar n' Spice Ritual ($265, 90 minutes), which involves a scrub with organic brown and raw sugars blended with coconut, avocado, and sunflower oils with essential oils of cardamom and ginger. At Sense Spa at Rosewood Sand Hill, there is the Sugar & Spice and Everything Nice Body Treatment ($150, 60 minutes; $195, 90 minutes). It involves a pumpkin enzyme sugar scrub, a bath infused with nutmeg and cinnamon, and a vanilla-cinnamon masage. What is on your spa's menu this holiday season?
