The Lodge at Woodloch (Hawley, PA) is experiencing a wellness revival with several inspired updates. First, the Lodge has redesigned its guest rooms using the principles of biophilic design, meaning it incorporated important aspects of nature to guide its design. The rooms feature new beds with eco-friendly mattresses and linens, multifunctional natural furniture, photography of the gorgeous grounds, lighting that incorporates the elements, Himalayan salt lamps that provide ambient light and natural air purification, and more.
Additionally, the destination spa recently debuted a new custom-designed Lotus Labyrinth. Designed by Katja Marquart, associate dean and head of interior architecture at the University of Wisconsin, the labyrinth features a lotus flower at the entrance and exit, nine circuits, and a surface area of more than 1,589 square feet, making it an ideal site for contemplation, reflection, and meditation.
