Wellness Weekend in St. Barth

This year is turning out to be quite the milestone year for many spas and resorts. I'm especially excited because it marks American Spa's 20th anniversary and my own 30th birthday (the jury's still out on how I'll feel when that date comes around). Le Guanahani (St. Barth) is celebrating 30 years in luxurious style and is kicking off the year with a Wellness Weekend going on through Sunday. Led by renowned yogi and meditation expert Dave Romanelli, the refreshing and immersive three-night experience includes access to the spa, fitness, and tennis facilities; non-motorized watersports; daily wellness activities; yoga; and more. The highlight of the weekend is guided sensory-inspired meditations from Romanelli with a focus on slowing down, awakening the senses, and filling one's mind with positivity, passion, and peace. That doesn't mean guests are deprived by any means. Executive chef Nicola de Marchi has Caribbean dark chocolate with gingerbread and foie gras lollipop on the menu along with organic wine tastings and other delectable dishes. "Most of us are so tech-addicted that it's hard to unplug and truly, deeply enjoy a vacation," says Romanelli. "The Wellness Weekend at Le Guanahani will pull that plug by offering guests a getaway rich in meditation to deepen the unwinding process, highlight the senses, and experience beauty, happiness and relaxation as it should be. The mindfulness tools and skills guests will learn will last well beyond their time in St. Barth." There's also plenty of time built in for guests to enjoy the Spa by Clarins, which offers an array of amenities and pampering treatments.

Is your spa celebrating an anniversary this year? We'd like to hear about it and feature it on the blog and in the magazine! Email anniversary information to [email protected] to be considered.
