Celebrate The Third World Wellness Weekend This September

Originally launched in France and Belgium in 2017, last year's World Wellness Weekend (W3) was celebrated in 88 countries with involvement from over one million people and 600 venues. This year you join the celebration, now in its third year, from September 21-22.

The purpose for W3 is to raise awareness of the benefits of wellness. The weekend celebrations will include fun and free wellness activities in the hope to inspire attendees to make healthy lifestyle choices. "If health is a relationship between your body and a doctor, wellness is a responsible relationship between your body and yourself," says Jean-Guy de Gabriac, founder of World Wellness Weekend.

This year, W3 plans to encourage more spas, salons, and studios to participate. The organization has already hit has even for of its 2019 goals this year, including:

To spread the word, 19 wellness ambassadors from different nations are in charge of encouraging venues to branch out and expand partnerships in their town. The goal  is to create a Wellness Calendar that provides free wellness activities from Friday after work, until Sunday afternoon during that third weekend of September. These activities will aim to encourage participants to enhance their five pillars of wellness, which include sleep, nutrition, vitality, serenity, and sense of purpose.

“Wellness is to mankind [as] what sustainability is to the Earth,” says Marc Massing, owner of Laboratoires Camylle. “Raising awareness on wellness contributes to a better future. We are grateful to World Wellness Weekend and Jean-Guy de Gabriac for his active commitment in this initiative that we proudly support.”
