Silver Spring, MD—WTS International, Inc. has been selected by The Spa at Southern Highlands in Henderson, Nevada to provide design consultation, pre-opening services and daily management for its new spa and athletic club.
Southern Highlands is a secluded community outside Las Vegas offering luxury home sites and spectacular views of the Las Vegas Valley and surrounding mountains. Southern Highlands Golf Club, an 18-hole championship golf course co-designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and son Robert Trent Jones, Jr., was recently rated by Golf Digest as the best new private golf club in the Western United States.
"The property places strong emphasis on offering residents first-class amenities. The new spa and athletic club will provide golf and social members with a wide choice of leisure, personal care and fitness opportunities," said Allen Jakubauskas, WTS International's Regional Director.
The Spa at Southern Highlands will house 12,500 square feet of state-of-the-art facilities, including five spa treatment rooms, an oversized in-ground Jacuzzi, a wet steam room, and spacious changing rooms. In design terms, the spa component is a quiet and hidden "node" where WTS will offer a complete menu of spa services including massage, skin care, body treatment and nail services.
A Grand Hall with 18-foot ceilings will introduce the spectacular 4,000-square foot weight and fitness training room and group exercise studio offering the latest in strength and cardio equipment. Program activities will include Pilates, yoga, aerobics, spinning classes, physical therapy and a host of group exercise classes. For tennis and swimming enthusiasts, Southern Highlands will feature four lighted tennis courts, an adults-only swimming pool with lap pool, an outdoor Jacuzzi, private cabanas, and a children's play pool.
