Bellus Academy Introduces Master Esthetician Program

Bellus Academy, an educational institute for the beauty and wellness industry, has introduced a Master Esthetician Program. The academy announced the board while sponsoring a Great Gatsby-themed event with Spa Connection. The Master Esthetician course is a 600-hour program offered to students who are licensed estheticians or cosmetologists and/or who have completed a state-approved 600-hour basic esthetician program. The courses include: advanced anatomy, physiology and microbiology, advanced cosmetic chemistry, microdermabrasion, scrubs and enzymes and their role in advanced care, chemical exfoliation, resurfacing and peels, including AHA’s, BHA’s and TCA, and advanced waxing, among many other courses.

The Great-Gatsby-themed event was held earlier this month for vendors and spa industry professionals in San Diego. "We welcomed more than 100 spa directors and buyers together with 20 spa suppliers. Our platinum sponsor was Resort Suite, and representatives were on hand to greet guests to the retro red carpet with a glass of champagne,” says Joanna Berry, Bellus Academy’s director of spa and wellness.
