Design Fees

Architectural and design fees include the fees charged by the building architect and interior designer. Sometimes these fees are based on a % (approximately 6%) of the building budget, but it is better to negotiate a set fee so that if the building costs go up during the project, your design fees remain the same.

Contingency is a small sum reserved as a safety net to provide for any unexpected costs during the pre-opening stage.

Many factors can change during the development of a spa. The key to meeting or coming in under budget is to plan ahead and then stick to the plan. The more changes that occur during the pre-opening stage of a project, the more money you will spend.
