CBD Enters the World of Women’s Sexual Wellness

With movements like The Cliteracy Project encouraging women to openly discuss their sexuality, female sexual health is more relevant a topic than ever. CBD has also entered the conversation – most recently through recent launches from sexual wellness brand Foria and wellness and menopause care line Hello Again.

According to Kiana Reeves, Foria’s chief brand educator and somatic sex educator, climaxing decrease stress, improves sleep quality, and even boosts the immune system. Consequently, the company’s latest launch, its Vibe + Awaken Kit, was designed to make climaxes more achievable for women. It includes Awaken, the brand’s arousal oil, which is made with organically-grown CBD, infused with botanical oils, and was formulated to enhance pleasure and reduce tension and dryness. Foria’s kit also comes with a flexible silicone micro-vibrator. The duo launched on February 15 and is available on Foria’s website for $105.

Hello Again, a line of all-natural and cannabis-infused menopause care products, also recently launched its first retail products in California. Select dispensaries, including The Pottery and The Farmacy, will offer the company’s Hello Again, Everyday and Hello Again, Sleep vaginal suppositories. These “vagitories,” as cofounders Carrie Mapes and Patty Pappas refer to them, are formulated with both CBD and THC and are designed to relieve common menopause symptoms, such as sleep difficulty, vaginal dryness, and anxiety, and the vaginal delivery system allows THC to balance the body’s symptoms without the psychoactive effects.

"The initial idea for Hello Again came out of our own challenges in navigating the experience of menopause without access to powerful holistic remedies," the founding duo stated in a press release. "Once we learned about the cannabinoid system and its role in achieving and maintaining homeostasis in the body's systems, we immediately realized that cannabis was uniquely suited to address the symptoms of menopause and aging.”
