Now You Can Earn Your "Masters" in CBD Thanks to Color Up

While the buzz around CBD has certainly been growing, so, too, have the questions surrounding its usage. Looking to fill the void, the Color Up team recently launched the Cannabis Master Program for the Spa Professional, a first-of-its-kind online course for estheticians and massage therapists. “Set to become the gold standard for therapists everywhere, Color Up’s Master Program for the Spa Professional is the most comprehensive, in-depth cannabis education program available today,” says Shauna Blanch, co-owner and COO of Color Up.

The program, more than 15 years in the making, kicks off with two tracks: one for estheticians with eight lectures and another for massage therapists with seven lectures. Participants learn about a variety of topics, including The Endocannabinoid System: An In-Depth Look; The Magic of Cannabinoids; Healing from the Inside Out; The Science of Skin; and Give Yourself a Raise: Retail Selling. Those who successfully complete the program will receive a certification from Color Up as a cannabis master.

“Bringing  CBD skincare and body care into a spa practice is much more than a trend, it’s a comprehensive approach to functional healing for body, mind, and spirit,” says Emily Davis, vice president of education for Color Up. “CBD is more dynamic than many ingredients that are generally used in skincare and massage products, because it is communicating with our body’s main regulatory system—our endocannabinoid system. For this reason, education is very important for the provider.”
