Allergan Aesthetics recently released the 'The Future of Aesthetics' global trends report, which was commissioned by Allergan Aesthetics and developed by specialist trend forecasting agency Wunderman Thompson Intelligence. The report found that consumer interest in medical aesthetics continues to rise, with the number of dermal filler treatments worldwide growing by almost two million from 2017 and 2020 and that physicians around the world are now catering to an increasingly diverse patient population spanning different ages, races, and genders. Needless to say, the medical spa industry continues to grow. Here are some of the latest news and offerings:

Perfect Corp Launches AI Face Reshape Simulator: This new AI simulation technology for estheticians, beauticians, and medical spa professionals allows people to see the results of treatments on their own face. It delivers precise simulations for eyebrow lifts, cheek, and lip filler treatments, jaw reshape, eyelid treatments, and nose reshape so that customers can preview their cosmetic treatment results. The simulation aims to improve communication, consumer expectations, and client result satisfaction.

Merz Aesthetics Announces Joe Jonas as New Xeomin Brand Partner: The U.S. partnership with Jonas kicks off a new Beauty on Your Terms campaign for Xeomin and represents the first time the singer, songwriter, and actor has partnered with an aesthetics brand. “Making the decision to have an aesthetic treatment was really about self-care and looking and feeling like the best version of myself,” says Jonas. 

AAFPRS Plans Ukraine Medical TripThe American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) is partnering with local organizations in Ukraine and adjacent countries to provide facial surgery resources and services through the Face to Face program. Sixteen medical team members will travel to Ukraine for nine days in mid-September to two hospitals to assist those with facial injuries suffered because of the Russia/Ukraine conflict.
