IECSC Takes on Orlando

More than 7,000 spa professionals attended the 2008 International Esthetics, Cosmetics and Spa Conference (IECSC) show held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. Attendees of the show, which was presented by American Spa magazine, visited the booths of the top skincare, cosmetic, and wellness companies and sat in on classes from prominent educators.

The show featured the latest in aromatherapy, cosmetics, facial treatments, laser equipment, skincare products, massage products, medical spa equipment, and more. Daily tickets included free admission to spa business, makeup, wellness, and manufacturer education classes. In addition, IECSC Orlando offered a comprehensive education program with specialized conferences such as Your Profitable American Spa: Introduction to Spa & Hospitality Operations, presented by the University of California-Irvine, as well as advanced education and CIDESCO workshops.

'IECSC Orlando was able to sustain a busy show floor and packed conferences even with the weak state of the economy,' says Dana Lupton, group show director. 'The buzz on the show floor was that expectations were greatly exceeded with plenty of networking, learning and shopping over the course of the three days.' The next IECSC show will take place on April 26-28 at the Jacob K. Javits Center (New York City). For more information, visit www.iecsc.com.
