WHAT WAS THE PATH THAT LED YOU INTO THE SPA INDUSTRY?

I was drawn to the spa industry through a passion for creating experiences that help people slow down and reconnect with themselves. Over time, that passion evolved into a deeper purpose, building spaces that honor both wellbeing and culture.

WHAT ARE THE MOST CHALLENGING AND REWARDING PARTS OF BEING IN THE SPA INDUSTRY?

The most challenging part is balancing the operational demands of the business with maintaining a consistently elevated guest experience. The most rewarding part is seeing transformation, whether it’s a guest leaving lighter than they arrived or a team member growing in confidence and skill.

WHAT IS YOUR PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT?

Opening the Spa at Mauna Kea is my proudest accomplishment. Bringing a vision to life; from concept to training to the first guest experience. It has been incredibly meaningful, especially knowing it reflects intention, the Hawaiian culture, and heart.

WHAT HAS SURPRISED YOU MOST ABOUT WORKING IN THE SPA INDUSTRY?

What has surprised me most is how deeply personal this work is. It’s not just about services—it’s about trust, energy, and personal connection. The impact we have on someone’s day or life can be profound.

WHERE DO YOU THINK THE INDUSTRY IS HEADING?

The industry is moving toward more intentional, culturally rooted, and results driven experiences. Guests are seeking authenticity, education, and treatments that go beyond relaxation into true healing and long-term wellness.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE SKINCARE INGREDIENT?

Growth factors are a favorite of mine because of their ability to support real skin regeneration and visible results. I appreciate ingredients that bridge science and skin health in a meaningful way.

WHAT POSITIONS HAVE YOU WORKED IN THAT YOU FEEL HAVE BEEN MOST INFLUENTIAL TO YOUR CAREER?

Working in both operational leadership and guest-facing roles have been the most influential. Being on the floor taught me empathy and service, while leadership roles taught me how to build systems, develop teams, and create consistency.

HOW WOULD YOU SUM UP YOUR PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY?

Lead with intention, move with integrity, and create experiences that genuinely care for people—both guests and team.

WHAT ARE YOUR THREE GREATEST PRIORITIES IN LIFE?

My three greatest priorities are purpose, people, and growth—staying aligned with why I do what I do, nurturing meaningful relationships, and continuing to evolve.
