Burn Boot Camp, Charlotte, North Carolina, recently opened its 300th studio and entered its 39th state on its way to its goal of having 400 gyms open or in development by the end of 2021, the company announced on Sept. 21.
To hit that goal, the company is turning to existing franchisees, many of whom gathered at the company’s 2021 Summit this summer in Charlotte. Burn Boot Camp hosted a Build Your Own Empire Lounge at the Summit as an opportunity to talk to franchisees about how they could expand their business. The result was that the company signed seven franchise agreements on-site: Acworth, Georgia; Burlington, Wisconsin; Covington, Georgia; Douglasville, Georgia; St. Johns, Florida; Tallahassee, Florida; and Zionsville, Indiana. Franchise partners that elected to sign for additional units at the Summit received various incentives to help them expand, providing an investment opportunity for some of the brand’s most talented and successful operators.
The total investment for franchisees range from $181,800 to $447,900 with discounts available for military veterans and multi-unit signings.
“This year’s Summit was surreal — when we gather our network of hundreds of franchise partners, I’m immediately reminded of how far we’ve come,” Devan Kline, co-founder and CEO of Burn Boot Camp, said in a media release. “Just as we’ve created a name for ourselves by catering to the entire member — mind, body and emotional wellness — we take the same approach when we bring on franchise partners. While we have a streamlined approach, allowing them to seamlessly run their business with our SOPs, we realize that some of our franchise partners want more. Holding the Build Your Own Empire Lounge is one way we’re able to customize that experience and help them pursue their personal entrepreneurial dreams — whatever those may be.”
Burn Boot Camp made the 2021 Inc. 5000 for the second consecutive year, after debuting in 2020 at No. 410. Burn Boot Camp also appeared in the top 100 on Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500. Both lists track the growth of the best and most innovative brands.
Burn Boot Camp was founded in 2012 by husband wife duo Devan and Morgan Kline as a female-focused boutique gym franchise. Recently, it has cultivated a following from both men and women alike. The brand offers 45-minute circuit style workout camps through daily programs crafted by certified personal trainers.
