Precor and Stages Cycling Partner for Global Distribution

Precor, a provider of commercial fitness solutions, and Stages Cycling, a manufacturer of commercial indoor cycles, power meters, and cycle computers, say they intend to enter into a “strategic global distribution agreement that will expand the availability and reach of Stages Cycling products to new markets and customers.”

Under the agreement, expected to take effect this summer, Precor says it plans to become the worldwide distributor of Stages Cycling’s commercial product lines. The agreement will leverage Precor’s extensive sales, service, and distribution network in over 100 countries to bring Stages Cycling to commercial clubs, hospitality venues, education institutions, multi-family residential complexes, corporate wellness centers, and country clubs.

Stages Cycling’s products include the Stages SC3 and the SC2. Additionally, Stages Studio provides cloud-based advanced data analysis, group display and motivational indoor cycling experiences.

In a prepared statement, Jim Liggett, CEO of Stages Cycling, said that the agreement will allow Stages Cycling “to reach new customers and markets with our products, and to provide them with the best possible support and service.”

Precor, a wholly owned subsidiary of Peloton, in February named Dustin Grosz CEO.  Grosz, who had served as interim CEO since Dec. 12, 2022, upon his appointment had “already had a positive impact on the organization, bringing to bear his strong experience in global supply chain and distribution, manufacturing, and sourcing strategies,” said Dion Camp Sanders, chief emerging business officer of Peloton, when making the announcement.

In March, Precor announced a new distributor, Mounting Gym, to provide its “best-in-class cardio, strength and networked fitness equipment” across Italy. Mounting Gym will directly represent the Precor brand and products throughout Italy, including responsibility for sales, installation, service technicians and warehousing.
