Cytrellis Recieves FDA Clearance for Ellacor

Cytrellis's micro-coring technology, Ellacor, has received FDA clearance for the treatment of moderate and severe wrinkles in the mid-to-lower face. The device uses hollow needles to remove full thickness micro-cores of dermal and epidermal tissue without thermal energy and following the procedure, the skin quickly realigns to close the cores, resulting in an improved appearance of wrinkles without the evidence of scarring. "We are thrilled to receive this FDA clearance for our micro-coring technology," says Karen Cronholm, president and CEO of Cytrellis. "It is a result of our team's extensive research and collaboration with leading physicians in the aesthetics industry. We have developed a truly innovative device. Ellacor is a simple, yet more effective procedure that provides patients and physicians with what they have been asking for - natural-looking results."
