Sofwave Medical to Initiate Large-Scale Push into North American Market

In an age when more selfies and photographs are being taken than ever, wrinkles on the face and neck have become an especially common source of worry. Aesthetic company Sofwave Medical Ltd.’s new ultrasound-based system was designed to safely and non-invasively target those areas of concern, and the company is developing new global sales and distribution channels for its launch. Sofwave has recruited leading global sales executives to expand the channels across regions in North America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Says Louis Scafuri, CEO at Sofwave, "We're bringing people on board that are very knowledgeable of the global market, are key players in the aesthetic space, and are recognized for the regional leadership achievements over the last 20 years."

Sofwave’s expansion team includes vice president of North America John Nippler, who previously held a number of leadership roles at Merz Aesthetics; Hans Edel, who has garnered extensive sales, marketing, and distribution experience at various companies, including InMode, Syneron, and Lumenis; and vice president of Asia Pacific Wolfgang Kramer, who has helped lead several device companies—such as Venus Concept, Solta Medical, and Ulthera—to success in the past. "Each has a successful track record in pioneering new technologies and selling innovative products with good recurring revenue streams," says Scafuri. "They've all created high performance sales organizations that support the customer and are experts at forming alliances with the major distributors."
