Located just outside downtown Shanghai and the result of a 16-year conservation initiative that saw 10,000 camphor trees and dozens of Ming and Qing dynasty homes transferred to Shanghai from eastern China, Amanyangyun has opened. It features a unique forest village, tranquil gardens, and an Aman Spa.
It includes 10 treatment rooms, six relaxation lounges, two private bathing suites with a Russian banya and a Moroccan hammam, indoor and outdoor pools, a hair and beauty salon, a fitness center, a Pilates and yoga studio, and a tea lounge. The treatments, journeys, and rituals draw inspiration from the origins of the resort, its proximity to Shanghai, and the traditional healing practices of China.
“Every Aman has a story to tell, and this one is no exception,” says Vladislav Doronin, CEO and chairman of Aman. “This resort, a legacy to the past, stands proud as an archive for future generations.”
