BeautyBooked (BB), a convenient way to search, discover, and book appointments with spas and salons, has unveiled a new mobile app. Created by two industry insiders, the app helps simplify the booking process by allowing members to discover new beauty locations, read editorial reviews from Allure magazine, and book appointments online. The app also allows clients to find appointments closest to them; offers integration with Instagram for users to share social experiences; features an upgrade option, which allows members get VIP treatment, such as a complimentary deep-conditioning treatment; and more. “BeautyBooked is transforming the way women search for and book beauty appointments,” says Ted Gibson, celebrity hairstylist and founder of Ted Gibson Salons (multiple locations). “We are thrilled for ted gibson beauty to be a partner.” Additionally, Allure magazine also launched a spa and salon booking functionality on www.allure.com. In collaboration with BeautyBooked, users can search book appointments directly from allure.com’s Salon & Spa Directory. Highlighting top hairstylists, colorists, massage therapists, manicurists, and more in cities across the country, Allure’s directory also includes a Booker Widget, which customizes search based on date, time, neighborhood, service, and spa and salon name. The app is available in Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, and New York City. BeautyBooked plans to expand to new markets, including Boston and San Francisco, this fall.
