This summer, join Live Love Spa for a 31-day health and wellness celebration with the launch of Wellness Month. According to the recent Wellness 2030 report from Global Wellness Institute, wellness is a social pursuit. Studies have shown that people do better when they get healthy together. With this in mind, Lisa Micahelis, founder of the spa networking platform Live Love Spa, decided it was time to raise the bar in the wellness industry, and so Wellness Month was born. This August, Live Love Spa is joining spa and wellness-related businesses across the country to make the wellness experience both social and fun.
“Each week I hear about some new, unbelievably creative and effective treatment, training or movement class that our partners have come up with,” says Michaelis. “But, if no one ever tries out something new, it's all words on a page. For this August, we're encouraging spas, fitness centers, and even healthy eateries to make sure to give people an extra added incentive to find out how much fun feeling good can be!”
Similar to the idea of Restaurant Week, where foodies check out new dining options in cities across the country, Wellness Month is meant to encourage the public to try out new wonders of the spa industry and other aspects of healthy living. Michaelis wants Wellness Month to make the idea of visiting a wellness center or workout class irresistible; and then package it together in a special month of exclusive offers that help shine light on the numerous benefits of starting a healthy new habit. Group Wellness Month events will include fun activities like themed yoga classes, Detox-with-a-Friend specials at juice bars, spa happy hours, and even a Boy’s Night Out with Beer and a Sauna or Soak.
Wellness Month gear, including signage, t-shirts, wrist bands, and more, will soon be available at supporting partners, such as Equinox, Moroccanoil, Marriott International, Red Door Salon & Spas, Noble House Resorts, Langham Hotels, Biologique Recherche, Coola, and more.
