This month, Cosmoprof North America (CPNA) announced its Discover Green section will debut at its annual beauty tradeshow July 24 to 26 at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. The new area will feature companies dedicated to unique, green product initiatives. The decision to add Discover Green comes from increased consumer awareness of the environmental impact of products and ingredient safety. This section will feature a range of green products, including those in the retail and spa distribution markets, small indie brands, and recognized brands.
For Discover Green’s first year, Cosmoprof North America will partner with Mary Bemis, founder and editorial director of Insider’s Guide to Spas and founder of American Spa. She is also known as a well-recognized expert in the green spa market and will work with the CPNA team to help curate products, so they align with the tradeshow’s key values and stay on trend. Bemis will also host several seminar sessions discussing the eco-friendly topics such as “Spa Market Evolution: Green Mile Markers.” This session will also feature insights from Barbara Close, founder and CEO of Naturopathica; Rose Fernandez, vice president and manager for North America of Jurlique; and Michelle Kelthy, spa director at The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Naples.
