Wellness industry icon and CEO and chairman of the Global Wellness Institute (GWI) Susie Ellis is slated to keynote SPATEC Spring, taking place May 19-22 at the newly rebranded JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort and Spa. Ellis will be speaking on The Future of Wellness: Trends and Predictions for the Industry at the inaugural SPATEC by American Spa event.
In addition to serving as chair and CEO for GWI, the industry's leading global research and educational resource, Ellis is also the cofounder, chair, and CEO of the Global Wellness Summit (GWS), the foremost gathering of international business, academic, and government leaders in the $4.2 trillion global wellness economy. She sits on numerous academic and industry boards, including the advisory boards of Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) and the Aspen Brain Lab. An MBA graduate from the University of California, Los Angeles, she has been a member of the California Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, served as president of Spafinder Wellness, was the recipient of the International Spa Association’s Visionary Award, and was named an Industry Icon finalist in American Spa's first-ever Women in Wellness Awards.
Earlier this year, American Spa announced its expanded partnership with SPATEC, the industry's top hosted-buyer event.
