WASHINGTON, DC -- Three fitness companies partnered with the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) for its new fitness program, which provides discounted rates to select Gold’s Gym and Curves locations along with personal training services by the American Council on Exercise (ACE).
As part of the program, Gold’s Gym and Curves reduced their enrollment fees to $49 for AARP members. Also, Gold’s Gym lowered its monthly membership dues by 20 percent, and Curves dropped its monthly membership rates to as low as $29. However, membership rates do vary, and the AARP advises all members to check their local club.
ACE is offering AARP members access to its network of personal trainers and a 15 percent member-only discount for personal training plans.
Focused on prevention, the program aims to provide information, resources and services to help AARP members lead active, healthier lifestyles.
