Spa industry veteran and former International Spa Association (ISPA) board member Ann Brown has launched Saltability, a spa services company offering Himalayan salt stone treatments and retail products. “Today’s spa-goers are more savvier and hungrier for truly effective spa treatments than ever,” says Brown, who has nearly 20 years of experience in the industry, including more than 15 years as a resort spa director at Spa Shiki (Lake Ozark, MO). In addition to a complete retail line, including cooking salt blocks, salt lamps, essential oils, bath salts, and crystals, the company specifically offers Himalayan salt to be utilized in treatment rooms throughout resort spas, day spas, medical spas, and destination spas. “Himalayan salt has so many benefits by bathing in it,” says Brown. “My hope for the spa community is to use Himalayan hand-carved massage stones instead of basalt stones.
