International Esthetics, Cosmetics and Spa Conference in New York Surpasses Goals

IECSC New YorkIn March, The International Esthetics, Cosmetics and Spa Conference (IECSC) celebrated its 14th year in New York at the Javits Convention Center with a record-breaking attendance of more than 15,300 spa and wellness professionals. Presented by American Spa, the three-day event attracted cosmetologists, doctors, estheticians, massage therapists, medical estheticians, spa owners, and many more. “This year, we exceeded both our attendance and exhibit expectations and goals,” says Liza Wylie, vice president of beauty, spa, and wellness events at Questex Media Group. “Exhibitors surpassed their sales objectives and were thrilled with the attendance at the event. Spa and salon professionals received first-class education both in the classroom and show floor, where thousands of innovative products were offered. The continued success of both shows proves that the beauty, spa, and wellness industries are prospering and we are excited to be leading tradeshows serving these communities.”

The sold-out exhibit hall at IECSC New York was filled with popular spa and wellness brands, including Éminence Organic Skin Care, FarmHouse Fresh, Image Skincare, PCA Skin, Repêchage, Revitalash, Satin Smooth, and more. During the tradeshow, industry professionals moved through the packed aisles to meet with exhibitors for the latest in aromatherapy, cosmetics, facial treatments, massage products, microdermabrasion equipment, and skincare. The tradeshow also featured its industry-leading continuing education program, which offers more than 90 classes led by prominent educators and leaders in the field. These featured sessions discussed the latest in spa treatments and techniques, such as an effective system to increase sales and profits, integrating successful and profitable wellness services into a spa, and preventive measures to slow down the glycation process that ages skin. “New techniques, products, and procedures are unveiled at IECSC events making it a remarkable experience for our attendees and exhibitors,” says Kathy Gruttadauria, show director for IECSC. “Exhibitors at IECSC New York had record sales. Some exceeded sales goals on their first day and joked that they could pack up and leave before the event finished. Our exhibitors and attendees raise the bar each year—and it’s constantly surpassed. I can’t wait to see what 2017 will bring.”

The next event on the IECSC show schedule this year will be IECSC Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Convention Center on June 25 to 27. IECSC New York will be held next year on March 12 to 14 alongside the International Beauty Show (IBS) New York at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.
