The Makeup Show Houston Postpones Dates Due to COVID-19

The Makeup Show, now in its 16th year, has postponed what was slated to be its first show of 2020 in response to growing fears surrounding the spread of Coronavirus. The Makeup Show Houston, originally taking place March 21-22, will now touch down in the Lone Star state August 1-2, 2020.

“My team and I have been working to monitor the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation," says Shelly Taggar, owner of The Makeup Show. "While so much about the virus is unknown, we are confident in our ability to take every precaution. We are working closely with the CDC, our unions, city organizations, and host venues, to ensure that we are going above and beyond to keep our patrons and their families safe. In the end, our responsibility is to you.”

In a press release, Taggar shared that amid developing news about Coronavirus, countless vendors, artists, and attendees expressed their concerns and withdrew from The Makeup Show Houston. As such, the decision to postpone the show until August was made to ensure brand vendors, educators, artists, and entrepreneurs can experience The Makeup Show the way it was intended to be and has always been.
