Massage Therapy Foundation Announces Conference

The Massage Therapy Foundation plans to host its triennial International Massage Therapy Research Conference (IMTRC) May 12 to 15, 2016 at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel.  This is the fourth research conference that the Foundation has hosted, and 300-400 attendees are expected from around the world. They will have the chance to attend a variety of presentations spotlighting the latest massage therapy scientific research. According to president Jerrilyn Cambron, LMT, DC, MPH, PhD, “The conference is an incredible opportunity for massage therapists and allied health care providers to learn about new research findings that contribute to the massage therapy profession.”

At this time, we are now accepting scientific abstract submissions. The call for IMTRC scientific submissions invites original massage therapy research that promotes the dissemination and discussion of new information in the following research categories: basic science, education, clinical, case studies, public health, and integration of massage therapy in various settings within the conference theme: Integrating Therapies for Pain.  Submissions may be in any of the aforementioned categories and are due by no later than December 14, 2015. The call for abstracts and further information about the conference itself may be found on the Foundation’s website here.
