Massage Therapy Foundation Selects Team of Runners for 2014 Boston Marathon

The Massage Therapy Foundation (MTF), an organization that advances the knowledge and practice of massage therapy, announced its 2014 Boston Marathon Running for Research Team, who are raising money and creating awareness for the Massage Therapy Foundation. The runners are: Kathy Laskye, a school liaison in the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals education department, who was selected by ABMP; Kristen Lutz, a board-certified licensed massage therapist with a practice at One Mind Body Earth (Boston), who was selected by the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA); and Karen Moers, a practicing massage therapist in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, who was selected by Massage Envy. Due to last year’s tragic events at the finish line, all of the charity runners who were unable to finish have been invited to run again with this year’s team, joining nearly 35,000 runners for the marathon on April 21. “The Massage Therapy Foundation is delighted to welcome our official Running For Research 2014 Team,” says Ruth Werner, MTF President. “Our 2013 team was among the leading fundraisers for organizations of our size—let’s see if the 2014 team can outdo them.”
