Montage Hotels & Resorts is bringing its luxury hospitality brand to northern California wine country. The management company has just announced plans to manage and operate the new Montage Healdsburg, slated to begin construction in spring 2018 and open in Sonoma county by spring 2020.

The 130-room Montage Healdsburg will be owned by Ohana Real Estate Investors and developed by The Robert Green Company. A collection of Montage Residences, including single-family built homes and custom home sites, are also planned for a future phase of development.

As with all Montage properties, Montage Healdsburg will provide a vast number of bespoke resort offerings to both families and individuals alike. Guests are invited to try an open-air massage at Spa Montage, take a dip in the infinity pool overlooking the resort’s vineyards, or explore Montage’s signature, immersive children’s program.

“We are honored to partner with Ohana Real Estate Investors and The Robert Green Company to bring Montage Healdsburg to life,” says Alan J. Fuerstman, founder, chairman, and CEO of Montage International. “Montage Healdsburg will feature breathtaking views of vineyards and oak woodlands, and will provide guests with signature Montage amenities. It is destined to become a wine country landmark, and we look forward to becoming a member of the Sonoma county community.”

Set amongst oak trees and vine covered hills, Montage Healdsburg will sit on 258 acres and feature bungalow style accommodations with contemporary designs. The first Montage property in northern California’s wine country, the property will deliver a unique sense of place – a hideaway where luxury hospitality meets authentic wine country charm.

“Montage is a superb hotel operator that will provide guests with a world-class experience in the heart of California wine country,” says Robert S. Green, Jr., president and CEO of The Robert Green Company. “Together we have taken considerable care to design an extremely environmentally sensitive project that fits naturally to the existing topography and preserves literally tens of thousands of beautiful oak trees on the property.”
