Moroccanoil and Avon Products have resolved all disputes regarding Moroccanoil's challenge to Avon's trademarks and trade dress for its Advance Techniques haircare products containing argan oil, as well as Avon's challenges to the validity of Moroccanoil's trademark registrations and oppositions to Moroccanoil's trademark applications. The disputes included a litigation in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and numerous proceedings in trademark offices worldwide. The conflicts have been established through a confidential settlement agreement that, both parties believe, will protect their respective rights and interests in the long term. Following the settlement agreement, the case will be dismissed and Avon's challenges to Moroccanoil's trademarks and trade dress will be dismissed.
