The Grand Velas Los Cabos Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico just announced its new Spa Atelier workshops. There are six workshops offered, each of which are centered on self-discovery. Some of the workshops include Mandalas and Meditation, Tea Discovery, and do it yourself (DIY) beauty care routine workshops, as well as aromatherapy for couples and kids, and DIY body scrubs.

The mandala class is centered on the idea of a circle in harmony. In order to create this, each participant must achieve inner peace and relaxation. During the process of mandala making, guests are given time to relax their minds. The tea ceremony is based on the traditional Mexican herbalist. During this ceremony, guests will be educated on different local herbs and teas and learn how to combine them in order to create health benefits. The Beauty Take Care workshop gives participants the opportunity to create their own facial routines that they can use when they get home.

Each class is included in the nightly rate of the resort and is inspired by local Mexican culture and based on the principles of Ayurvedic medicine. Spa Atelier offers amenities including a community table and workstation with local spices, mortars and pestles, herbs, and a small parlor for guided discussions. Each workshop has a maximum capacity of six participants per class, and reservations are required in advance.
