2018 is shaping up to be the year of women, and women in the wellness industry are no exception. Back in December, CNN announced four reasons it feels 2018 will be the year of women; in March this year, American Spa is hosting its first annual Women in Wellness leadership conference; and now, Tara Grodjesk, Carolyn Parrs, and Devi Records have joined forces to create an online series of highly interactive business building trainings specifically designed for women business owners, directors, and managers within the spa industry.
“The Women As Game Changers Training Series is so important and so timely for our industry, and also globally, as we tap into our power in the most positive way to make a difference in people’s lives,” says Grodjesk, president of Tara Spa Therapy and co-founder of the Green Spa Network. “This program is imperative if you own or operate a business and are ready to take it to the next level. Master the inner and outer game, and harness the feminine style of leadership that is creative, collaborative and purpose-driven.”
The series was designed as a practical, experientially-based model that focuses on how women think, feel, and lead in today’s society. The trainings integrate “outer game” business-building skills with “inner game” awareness and confidence. The integrated model will allow women’s innate leadership path to emerge in new ways.
“Most businesses that fail do so either from a lack of skill in the outer game, their messaging is off, marketing is not effective, funding is not adequate; or a lack of skill in the inner game—they derail themselves,” says Records, co-founder of Women As Game Changers. This training will steep spa women in both the inner and outer game with tools and techniques they need for their greatest success.”
The training will take place across three days; once per month in March, April, and May. Before the trainings go live, the trainers are offering free Zoom calls to anyone who wants to learn about the series on Jan. 22 from 4 to 5 PT, and Feb. 13 8:30 to 9:30 PT. The training schedule is as follows:
