Professional Beauty Association Now Accepting Applications for 2014 Minerva Beauty Scholarship

Five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students who are currently enrolled in an accredited cosmetology school. "We are proud to continue this scholarship in 2014 and appreciate the opportunity to give back to the cosmetology community,” says Jay Rawl, president of Minerva Beauty. “Supporting the future of the industry through educational assistance has been incredibly rewarding and we are impressed by the ever increasing talent we see entering the field." Funded by Minerva Beauty and administered by PBA Foundation, the five scholarship recipients will be reviewed by a committee appointed by the PBA Chair, and notified by email. More than 120 applications were received for the 2013 PBA Minerva Beauty Scholarship. The 2013 scholarship recipients are Shannon Braunschwieg from Randolph, WI; Sergio Estrada from Chicago, IL; Erin Nieli from Lantona, FL; Tricey Wilks from West Lafayette, IN, and Andrea Yocky from Venice, CA. The winners will be honored at a scholarship presentation at the 2015 International Salon and Spa Expo (Long Beach, CA).
