Registration Opens for The Spa Director’s Management Intensive 2018

From April 8-10 at the National Museum of American Jewish History in Philadelphia, spa directors from across the country will be gathering to fast-track their growth and enable their spas to grow to the next level at The Spa Director’s Management Intensive (SDMI). The boardroom-style program, which is offered annual both in person and online, is updated each year to incorporate relevant spa and wellness industry information that is beneficial for both first time and repeat students.

Presented by Wynne Business, the event will focus on a number of modules and trending topics, including marketing today’s spas, culturally appropriate sales skills, world class customer experiences and quality management, financial literacy and accounting for spa operators, compensation programs, real world retailing, successful service programs, leadership, recruiting and selecting top talent, and training and appraising spa employees. Additional content will include finding and keeping “A players” during a talent shortage, taking on social discounters like Groupon, creating systems and structures to help spas grow, mastering the strategies of yield management, attracting diverse market segments, and boosting profitability.

SDMI was recognized as a source of quality management education by the Stanford Research Institute’s study for the Global Spa and Wellness Summit, when GSWS identified the lack of specialized spa management education as the biggest impediment to industry growth. Students who attend the events have responded with glowing reviews as well. “I am so grateful that I came to the live class, says Cindy Rosandich, a 2016 SDMI graduate. “I feel like I can now open my spa with confidence.”

Discounts are available for two or more participants from the same organization. Individual general admission is $1499 before March 25, when the price will increase to $1675. For groups of two or more, general admission is $1399 each before increasing to $1,575 on March 26.
