Earlier this summer, Resense Spas hosted its 2017 Biannual Global Spa Managers’ Forum at the Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok. A number of Resense’s spa directors and managers and corporate and regional directors gathered in Thailand for the third-annual event. Previously held in Europe and the Middle East, this year’s location was chosen to honor the success of Resenses growing Asian portfolio. The theme for the forum was Inspiring Sales and Marketing Practically.
The three-day event brought 16 nationalities from across Resense’s global spa portfolio together to participate in myriad strategic workshops and hands on experiences, designed to reward, encourage, and enhance the performance of the spa managers. In groups, the teams worked on everything from KPI analysis, social media strategy, and membership sales to the preparation of their 2018 business plans and budgeting.
The event was also host of the Third Biannual Global Resense Spa Managers’ Forum Awards. Six awards were presented at the forum: The CEO Award for Excellence, given to Marcus Fry of The Aldon Spa by Resense at Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin (Germany); Resense Spa Recognition Award for Outstanding Commitment, given to Darani Phanchaisri of Kempinski The Spa at Kempinski Seychelles Resort Baie Lazare (Africa) and Calvin Miao of Kempinski The Spa at Kempinski hotel Fuzhou (China); Most Improved Revenue of 2016 given to Kempinski The Spa at Villa Rosa Kempinski Nairobi (Kenya); Most Improved Financial Performance given to Kempinski The Spa at Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski (Munich, Germany); and Highest Retail Revenue of 2016, given to Resense Spa at Burj Rafal Hotel Kempinski Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).
