Shortcuts Software Improves Walkin Software

Developed specifically to address the needs of walk-in businesses, Walkin makes it possible for clients to check themselves in online before they arrive.Shortcuts Software has released an updated version of Walkin, a software management system designed specifically for barbershop and walk-in clientele businesses. The new development serves as an enhancement to the Shortcuts Walkin Manager, which tracks wait times, walk aways, and staff availability. Available on touch-screen devices, computers, and tablets, the improved software allows guests to check themselves in online and track their wait times on a real-time integrated wallboard, serving as a virtual receptionist. “As the male market gains traction in North America, developing features that meet the needs of this niche has become a focus for us,” says CEO Paul Tate. “Male-centric businesses have their own requirements—there is a heavy focus on speed, efficiency, and a unique customer experience. Features like self check-in allow barbers to set their businesses apart by making themselves more convenient and accessible than the competition. It’s a retention tool as much as a hook for attracting new clients.” Other features include client feedback management; automated text and email marketing campaigns; a business reporting dashboard that calculates wait times based on staff availability; a business performance calculator; and more.
