The Successful Hands Grant Program, launched through the collaborative efforts of Biofreeze, Massage Envy Spa, and Bon Vital', supports professional massage therapy students in their educational pursuits. Elizabeth Vinatieri, massage therapy instructor and educational lead at North-West College accepted the grant of $500 cash with an additional $250 product package for her winning school. “This grant will mean the world to our students and school, as well as knowing we have the support of some of the industry’s largest and best-known contributors,” says Vinatieri. “This also opens the door for our students to expand their product knowledge with access to the highest quality products in the industry. At North-West College, we are always looking for the brightest and best minds to mold for the ever-advancing field of massage therapy, and this grant allows us to continue to do so.” Current massage therapy students can apply for one of five $1,000 Successful Hands grants, which requires them to complete an essay of 200 words or less on “What does being a successful massage therapist mean to me?” Applications must be received by October 15. A team of industry representatives will review all submissions to choose the five winners. “Once again, the One Concept team delivered a successful educational and networking event that included inspiring presentations by CG Funk, vice president of industry relations and product development for Massage Envy Spa; Anne Williams, education program director for Associated Massage and Bodyworks Professionals; Angie Patrick, director of business development for Massage Warehouse; and Dennis Buckley, DC,” says Lynda Solien-Wolfe, vice president of massage therapy and spa for Performance Health. “We’ll be awarding two $500 Successful Hands student grants at the Smart From The Start student program at the September One Concept Conference. I encourage all students to attend as we have a great program planned.” To view the program announcement video, click here
