TouchAmerica to Expand CommunityTouch Program

TouchAmerica expands CommunityTouch Program in 2016

TouchAmerica, a leading manufacturer of spa and salon furniture and equipment, has announced plans to expand its CommunityTouch efforts. CommunityTouch partners with community leaders to support sustainability initiatives, community events, and nonprofit organizations on a local and global level. The driving force behind these efforts is Aubrey Griffith-Zill, vice president of market development, who seeks to carry on her mother’s legacy of social consciousness. “For more than 30 years, TouchAmerica has given back to our local community,” says Stewart Griffith, CEO of TouchAmerica and TouchInternational. “As we have expanded our manufacturing operations globally, our charitable efforts have followed suit. I’m proud that my daughter, Aubrey, is continuing my late wife Robin’s focus on sustainability and responsibility.”

CommunityTouch plans to support the following organizations in 2016:

Trinidad Youth Trip: Griffith-Zill will partner with Carolina Friends School for the fourth year to lead a group of 20 high school students on a community building project trip to Trinidad for The Habitat for Humanity & Orphanage Project.

I Belize in You Project: Supported by Pinnacle View, TouchAmerica, and Maruba Jungle Spa & Resort, this project is aimed at providing literature and the teaching of dance movements to the children in the Zion School in Maskall Village, Belize.

Go Conscious Earth: This environmental organization partners with indigenous communities seeking to protect rainforests and the ecosystems that inhabit them.

Just One Humanity: This global non-profit organization supports charities aimed at promoting self-empowerment and entrepreneurship by focusing on education for the underprivileged.

Community Dance Project: This project encourages each individual to their embody their emotions and connect with the people through choreographies that inspire and empower both the dancers and the audience.
