Universal Companies Awards Student Scholarships

Universal Companies, a leading spa supplier, recently presented the Beauty For Life Foundation with $5,000 to benefit Marinello Schools of Beauty students. Five $1,000 scholarships were awarded to Marinello student applicants from the Skin and Body Care Programs. With more than 100 years of experience in the beauty education industry, Marinello Schools of Beauty have helped thousands of makeup and beauty enthusiasts find their place in the industry by honing their skills and giving students the practical, hands-on training in the field of their choice. “We are very thankful for Universal Companies’ contribution to the Beauty for Life Foundation, and I know it will get a great help to our students who choose a path in the beauty industry,” says Joan Yourstone, vice president of education and career services for Marinello. “We at Marinello feel very lucky to have such supportive industry partners to award assistance to our students, and appreciate Universal Companies’ generosity. They have definitely helped change students’ lives!”

Universal Companies also presented $3,000 to Delta Career Education Corporation’s Scholarship Program, which is an educational services company that operates for-profit post-secondary schools, serving the growing need for career-oriented education in the new service economy. Universal Companies partners with Marinello and Delta to help strengthen and evolve their education programs. From enrollment through continuing education, Universal Companies offers a wide range of resources and a dedicated team of school specialists. “We are very pleased to give back to our spa community by offering this scholarship money for students pursuing a career in wellness and beauty,” says Terry Russell, director of sales with schools, distributors, and franchises for Universal Companies. “Marinello and Delta provide exceptional skincare education and Universal Companies is glad to partner with them as they train our future spa professionals for rewarding careers.”
