Wake Foot Sanctuary Announces U.S. Franchise Opportunities

Wake Foot Sanctuary (Ashville, NC), the successful foot-soaking spa, plans to expand its brand by offering franchise opportunities for the first time. The company, founded by the husband-and-wife team Melissa and Brian Long, is one of the few foot-soaking spas in the U.S. and the first to franchise. “We are excited to share this wonderful opportunity with energized people who want to bring our unique concept to their cities and watch their business grow beyond their wildest dreams,” says Melissa Long. “We are looking for owners who want to be hands-on to get the spa up and running and watch the amazing results you achieve when you deliver an atmosphere of personalized attention and care.”

Wake Foot Sanctuary falls within a new emerging category in the spa space, offering upscale one-hour spa services as an alternative to traditional full-day spas. Wake offers customers luxurious, warm foot soaks with proprietary formulations, private label apothecary products, and uniquely procured goods for retail purchase. Customers have the option of a simultaneous massage of the feet and lower legs, hand, and lower arm or head, neck, and shoulders. The spa also sells artisan-crafted jewelry; natural hand-poured candles; handmade lavender and flaxseed neck wraps; and sensuous bodycare products.

The company's loyal clientele is attracted to its no-frills services and judgment-free atmosphere. “Our therapists and staff are frequently commenting that it seems harder and harder for people to give themselves that permission to tune out and let go," says Melissa Long. “Any mirrors are elevated in the space so that you are not tempted to check and see what you look like, because what you are in our space, is just perfectly you. That's the goal. Come in, be you for an hour, and get back to the world.”
