Pierre Fabre Laboratories President and Founder Dies

Pierre Fabre, president and founder of Pierre Fabre Laboratories, passed away in southern France, aged 87. The company, which he founded in 1961, is the second largest independent pharmaceutical group in France, and achieved a turnover of 1.98 billion Euros in 2012, with international sales accounting for 54 percent. According to his company employees, Fabre dedicated all his energy to building the company, and to ensure the future of the company and avoid any risk of dismantling or financial speculation; he gave his shares to the Foundation Pierre Fabre, a recognized public utility. According to his utmost wishes, the company will continue to pursue the adventure that Fabre initiated.
