BOULDER, Colo. – July 25, 2023 – CrossFit officially announced HWPO (Hard Work Pays Off) Training, Mayhem Athlete, and PRVN (pronounced “proven”) as supporting sponsors of the 2023 NOBULL CrossFit Games, set for Aug. 1-6, at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin.
All three brands will create unique opportunities for fans, elevating the on-site experience at the CrossFit Games. Each will have a significant footprint inside Vendor Village, while engaging fans with various spectator workouts led by legends of the sport like Mathew Fraser, Rich Froning and Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr.
“These brands are some of the strongest in our sport, and by working side-by-side with them, we expect engagement with CrossFit athletes, affiliates, and coaching communities to only become stronger,” said Rob Vartan, VP of Global Partnerships for CrossFit. “We’re really looking forward to hearing from our fans about their experiences getting up close and personal with the legends of our sport!”
HWPO Training and five-time Fittest Man on Earth, Fraser, will have both a retail space and experience area available inside Vendor Village where fans have the opportunity to learn from the likes of Fraser and other HWPO Training expert coaches, such as Rob Kearney and Aimee Anaya Everett. Fans of HWPO will also have the opportunity to book with Fraser’s brother, a talented tattoo artist, to receive a HWPO tattoo and a lifetime membership to HWPO Training. Plenty of stage demonstrations will take place as will daily spectator workouts. On Thursday, Aug. 3, Fraser will play a role in one of the world’s largest fitness gatherings by hosting a HWPO SWEAT workout at ROGUE North Park Stadium.
“Becoming a supporting sponsor of the 2023 CrossFit Games is important to us at HWPO Training as the sport has been a huge part of my life and career. It’s where I met my wife and best friends, where I’ve built my legacy and business, and it’s just as rewarding to participate on the sponsor side of things as it was to compete competitively for so many years,” said Fraser, Founder of HWPO Training. “HWPO Training has eight athletes competing at this year’s championship and our whole team is proud to SHOW UP and WORK HARD at the Games this year.”
Mayhem Athlete and four-time Fittest Man on Earth, Froning, are bringing Cookeville, Tennessee, to Madison. Anchored at the Mayhem Athlete Campground, fans and spectators will have the opportunity to train with and learn from Mayhem coaches and subject matter experts such Sage Burgener and Pamela Gagnon during daily workouts and seminars. The Mayhem Athlete Lounge, at the entrance to the venue, will provide an opportunity to enjoy some of Mayhem Athletes’ favorite summer grilling recipes – including Tennessee-style barbeque from PITBOSS smokers and pitmaster, Jason Nichols – in an area to sit, relax, and watch the livestream events on multiple big screens in a shaded area. Froning and Rory McKernan will use the Mayhem Athlete Lounge as the home studio for daily live filming of The Rich Froning Podcast, with special guests appearing throughout the week.
“At CrossFit Mayhem we’ve been changing lives with CrossFit for over 13 years through community focused fitness for all levels from our CrossFit Kids program, which introduces the younger generation to a fitness-based lifestyle, to our Life Class which focuses on maintaining strength and independence through functional movements at relative intensity,” said Froning. “Our goal at the 2023 CrossFit Games is to do the exact same thing for the community beyond Cookeville. Our team has put a ton of thought and hard work into creating a unique experience that I’m really excited to share.”
PRVN will elevate the CrossFit Games fan experience at their location in Vendor Village with daily workouts led by PRVN coaches and athletes, daily meet-and-greets with the likes of six-time Fittest Woman on Earth Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr, and PRVN co-founder Shane Orr.
"We are incredibly thrilled to announce PRVN’s sponsorship of the 2023 CrossFit Games as CrossFit has played such a large role in my career, laying the foundation for the PRVN brand since day one,” said Toomey-Orr. “We share a common vision for the future of CrossFit and the Games, and we look forward to working closely with a brand that directly aligns with our mission and values as we all continue to grow. I’ll be experiencing the Games from a new perspective this year by having the opportunity to support my fellow PRVN athletes as a spectator and fan! The CrossFit Games have become my home, and being able to further our contributions to the sport that has given us so much is a dream come true.”
The 2023 NOBULL CrossFit Games will feature individual and team competitions, as well as 18 age-based and six adaptive divisions, bringing nearly 450 elite athletes from 42 countries to Madison for the championships of the global competition.
