[Los Angeles, CA, September 11, 2023] - Fitstop, California’s premier Functional Fitness destination, is poised for global growth with the appointment of a new global strategic leadership team with a wealth of experience in the fitness, entertainment and technology industries.

“We are proud to have made a name for ourselves as one of the industry’s fastest growing fitness franchises, and by bringing these incredible global experts into our fold, we can now take our global growth to the next level,” Fitstop Founder & Global CEO Pete Hull said.

The global leadership team includes Lift Brand’s Chief Administrative Officer, Paul Early, who has joined the Fitstop Board of Directors and Netflix’s Head of Consumer Products for US/Canada/Aus/NZ, Natalia Premovic, to its Board to provide strategic guidance on brand and innovation.

“Coming off the heels of a global pandemic and seeing how disconnected many people felt from each other, I loved the idea of being part of a fitness brand that wasn’t just transactional but rather centered around creating a sense of belonging and shared motivation, so I am looking forward to guiding the Fitstop team on their next phase of growth,” she said.

Both Paul Early and Natalia Premovic are based in the US, and join existing board members Chris Caldwell, Lift Brand’s APAC CEO and Stuart Cook, Fitstop Chairman and Founding partner of TWIYO.

In addition, Carl Giammarco joins the Fitstop Executive team as the company’s new Global Head of Growth. Giammarco brings extensive global sales and sports marketing experience from previous roles with F45 Training and IMG Sports Media, both here in the US and Australia.

“I am excited to join Fitstop at this pivotal moment in the company’s growth,” said Giammarco. “I believe Fitstop has the potential to be the leading fitness franchise not just in the United States, but globally, and I am looking forward to helping the company achieve its goals.”

“I’ve seen and experienced a lot in this industry, and am confident that with Fitstop’s investment in their own tech stack, and the systems and processes in place that are genuinely made for owner success, they’ve created something special unlike any I’ve seen before”.

“Fitstop is already the leader in group training thanks to our unique training methodology, backed by world-renowned strength coaches like Dr Nic Gill, of the New Zealand All Blacks. With the addition of our strategic advisors Paul and Natalia, we are confident that we will become the category leaders for member experience and operational excellence in fitness franchising,” he added.

Fitstop was founded in 2017 in Brisbane, and today has more than 130 locations across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and the United States. In FY23, it generated $38.9 million in revenue.

“Our growing success is the result of our incredible fitness family that is made up of 130 Fitstop locations - and counting - around the world.  We remain committed to doing everything we can to set our Fitstop business owners up for success, and have developed a robust ecosystem to support them from the day they join our Fitstop family,” Hull said. .

Although Fitstop was recognised as the second fastest growing company in Australia in the AFR Fast 100 2023, the strategy is to grow the business sustainably.

“We are focused on long-term success, which is why we believe less is more - we want to grow strategically and sustainably. We believe it is better to have a healthier network where each of our Fitstop business owners and their communities are thriving, rather than having an excess of locations,” he explained.

Within the next 12 months, Fitstop will increase its overall footprint to a total of 210 locations in operation, adding approximately 80 new locations, with a key focus on expansion in Europe and North America.

“We only open locations in markets where we have a proof of concept to set our Fitstop business owners up for success,” he explained.

Core to Fitstop’s success to date is the support ecosystem provided to each of its business owners, designed to help them launch, build and strengthen their Fitstop business.

With ongoing concierge support on operations, business development and marketing, along with a proprietary technology infrastructure which simplifies internal processes and optimises the member fitness journey, Fitstop is committed to investing in its network to facilitate long-term sustainable growth.

“Our vision is to be a world-leading fitness brand that is powered by our Fitstop family, bringing communities together to connect, and to move more and live more,” Pete Hull added.

Fitstop focuses on functional and holistic strength training, an exercise method backed by experts due to its extraordinary benefits. Research shows that resistance training can lower the risk of cardiovascular disease, cancer and diabetes.
