Therabody has acquired sound therapy company So Sound, and will be rebranding it TheraSound. The new division will be focused on creating sound therapy technology and scientifically calibrated content. With the new division, the company is launching the Therabody Lounger, a zero-gravity lounger that shifts the mind and body into a deep state of relaxation, focus, or sleep. The lounger will be available in fall 2022 and the company is currently taking preorders.

- TheraSound technology leverages vibroacoustic sound therapy, a form of music therapy that uses hardware embedded inside a surface (like furniture or equipment) to transmit sound waves through the body that you feel as vibration.
