Amway Grand Plaza Opens New Celeste Salon & Spa

AHC Hospitality recently opened Celeste Salon & Spa at the Amway Grand Plaza, Curio Collection by Hilton. With design and architecture by global firm Gensler, the new state-of-the-art facilities include a hair salon, nail salon, five treatment rooms, a steam room, dry sauna, hot tub whirlpool and indoor and outdoor relaxation spaces. Sophisticated and warm interiors feature custom woodworking pieces, understated brushed gold accents and chocolate brown hues. Before and after treatments, salon and spa guests enjoy views of the Grand River atop private and shared balconies found throughout the space. “While Amway Grand Plaza is a historic icon in its own right, we are always looking for new ways to keep the hotel fresh with in-demand amenities,” says Ross Bartlett, general manager of the Amway Grand Plaza. “Celeste Salon & Spa takes the hotel’s wellness floor—complete with RoofTop Pickleball and our fitness center—to the next level, offering guests an oasis in the heart of Grand Rapids.”

The Celeste salon offers comprehensive hair services, including cut, color, foil, balayage and Vivid Color treatments for a cutting-edge and vibrant look. Celeste’s manicures and pedicures go well beyond traditional offerings, with hand or foot exfoliating scrubs, soothing masks, tension-relieving hot stone massages, followed by nail care and polish application. The salon’s outdoor terraces make for great photo opportunities to capture the full experience and freshly done looks.

At Celeste’s spa, facials restore a radiant glow with skincare treatments like galvanic current, glycolic refining peels, and paraffin masks. Massage treatments incorporate techniques like the Swedish approach, aromatherapies and hot stones. Eminence Organic Skin Care, known for their natural, organic and Biodynamic products — is the signature skincare line for Celeste Salon & Spa. “With Celeste Salon & Spa’s debut, we have created an inviting space for locals and guests to bask in the radiant glow of wellness,” says Caitlin McClelland, wellness director at AHC Hospitality.
