Bamford has hopped the pond from the UK to debut stateside in South Beach. In December, the British lifestyle and wellness brand opened its first U.S.-based Bamford Haybarn Spa at the 426-room 1 Hotel & Homes South Beach (FL). The newly constructed, 4,500-square-foot space includes 12 spacious treatment rooms, three manicure and pedicure stations, and a relaxation area known as The Woodland Room, which features a bespoke central water fountain. The spa offers an assortment of holistic body treatments and massages that encourage positive flows of energy, as well as facial treatments using Bamford’s natural and organic skincare line. Each treatment begins with a hand-and-foot ritual to help spa-goers recover from days and nights enjoying South Beach. A sustainable approach is also evident in the spa’s design, a concept from luxury hotel and spa designer Spencer Fung. Highlights include ash log walls from reclaimed ash trees, hickory floors from recycled timber, and willow bundles from salvaged trees. Another bright spot is the retail area. Along with Bamford skin- and bodycare products, it includes the company’s ready-to-wear and accessories line, carefully sourced from artisans from around the world, among other enticing offerings.
