Como Hotels and Resorts Unveils a New Hotel and Spa in Italy

Como Castello Del Nero (Tuscany, Italy), a 740-acre estate with a 12th- century castle, recently debuted in the world-famous Chianti wine region of Italy.

The first Como hotel to open in continental Europe, it features 50 rooms and suites with new interiors designed by Milanese designer Paola Navone, three restaurants, and a Como Shambhala Retreat complete with thermal suites, an invigorating ice fountain, a sauna, an aromatic steam room, a heated vitality pool, and a 25-meter heated outdoor pool, which is available only in the summer. The spa offers Guinot facials, massage, complimentary morning yoga, and more.

“Como Castello Del Nero is the holistic next step of growing our portfolio of hotels and resorts in select destinations around the world,” says Olivier Jolivet, CEO of the Como Group. “We don’t intend to be the biggest lifestyle brand, but our objective is to be one of the best—with offerings in the most desirable locations. Como Castello Del Nero has the right features for us to deliver a personalized Como experience, the Castello’s history and the new design by Paola Navone blending perfectly with the rest of our portfolio."
