Frenchman’s Reef has announced the official opening of its Heavenly Spa by Westin at The Westin Beach Resort & Spa at Frenchman’s Reef, which is now welcoming guests for relaxation and recovery. The new Heavenly Spa by Westin serves as a sanctuary of self-care, offering the latest in rejuvenating health treatments as well as traditional wellness and dry salon services. “Following the exciting recent opening of our two resorts at Frenchman’s Reef, we are delighted to begin welcoming guests to discover our new spa sanctuary within,” says Alison Haigh, Heavenly Spa by Westin director. “As we encourage guests to enjoy the many tranquil beach and oceanfront settings around the resort, we invite them to embrace a complete wellness experience within the spa for an extra indulgent moment in relaxation, soothing self-care and recovery.”
Featuring 13 treatment rooms, including one couples suite, the 10,200-square-foot spa facility welcomes guests into an elegantly designed wellness facility, featuring elements that have been inspired by the natural environment of the Virgin Islands. Guests will enter a lobby featuring lighting reminiscent of the shells in the sea and architectural accents that mimic the waves on the sand. Guests are invited to settle into a tranquil mindset with a fresh herbal blend of warm tea and a homemade lavender chamomile cookie in the Spa Relaxation Room, where they can relax in one of the plush lounge beds or chaises or enjoy a meditative moment in one of the floating chairs as they gaze out across the Serenity Pool and Charlotte Amalie Harbor. The spa experience extends outdoors into the courtyard lounge and the Serenity Pool, which features a cold plunge and vitality pool where one can rest and relax the mind as the cool Caribbean breeze floats in the air.
The Heavenly Spa treatment offerings have been designed with a focus on one’s physical and mental wellness. An array of massages, body treatments, facials, waxing and signature journeys employ techniques that are targeted on the revitalization and rejuvenation of mind, body and soul. One signature offering, the Four O’Clock Flower Soothing Facial, features products from Arcona, the skin soothing line that has been derived from the mirabilis Jalapa flower. This gentle 60-minute treatment helps to balance the challenges of rosacea, hydrates and strengthens the skin with botanical lipids and includes a very mild, soothing enzyme peel, which balances color and texture for a smooth, even appearance. Tthe Red-Carpet Radiance Treatment helps the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the face with a focus on the eyes and upper lip as well as the hands. Body treatments are elevated through the use body scrubs, oils and moisturizers of a local, Virgin Island- and woman-owned skin care range Good T’ings. Guests are enveloped in relaxation with four hands that systematically caress you into a dream-like state using long swaying movements that mimic the endless ripples of the ocean waves in the Duet Massage.
