Rancho La Puerta (Tecate, Mexico) is helping wellness-minded guests feel right at home with the debut of three new sustainably created villas. Villas Cielo, or Heavenly Villas, debuted in October. Each of the three 2,200-square-foot retreats—Azul, Terra, and Verde—features an indoor-outdoor design with glass doors that overlook gardens and mountains. Highlights include a master suite and a living area, outdoor showers, warm salt-water plunge pools, daybeds, and hammocks, along with a collection of distinct Mexican decor and art. Guests are also treated to a personal fitness consultation upon arrival to create a custom program for the week, as well as a selection of exclusive spa services, including Un Pedacito de Cielo (A Little Piece of Heaven), an in-room 90-minute treatment that takes place on Fridays and combines massage and Reiki and concludes with a drink from the property’s Tierra Alegre organic juice bar. “The Villas Cielo are a natural expansion of The Ranch,” says CEO Roberto Arjona. “They embody our philosophy of nourishing the mind, body, and spirit, and they fulfill our guests’ requests for casitas with more privacy and personalization.”
