The Retreat Costa Rica (Atenas), a luxury wellness boutique resort, recently opened the 8,000-square-foot Vida Mia Healing Center & Spa. The new facility sprawls across 60 acres of rainforest, overlooks the Pacific Ocean, and features signature wellness programs, organic gardens, lovely landscapes, farm-fresh cuisine, and a tranquil pool. To help guests deal with the emotional effects of the ongoing pandemic, the resort has debuted a five-night Emotional Healing & Recovery Package (starting at $625 per night). The new offering features luxurious accommodations; daily hikes; three nutritious meals a day; twice-daily yoga; two healing food preparation classes; two infrared sauna treatments for stimulating lymphatic and healing tissue; a hands-free reiki energy treatment to remove obstacles and balance chakras; a tropical fruit smoothie facial to infuse fresh nutrients into the skin; a choice of either the Self Love Crystal Therapy Treatment or a Digital Detox Crystal Therapy session; and a choice of either a lymphatic drainage massage or a deep-tissue massage. Guests can also go for the Curated Healing Special: Eight Nights for Six option, which can be applied to any of the resort’s seven-night packages (starting at $450 per night): Ayurveda Balancing, Fitness Reboot & Fat Burning, Luxury Spa Healing & Beautifying, and Signature Detox. Through this program, when visitors stay for a minimum of eight nights, they only pay for six.
