Is Snowga the Last Trend of 2017?

While the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole (Wyoming) is a mecca for ski and snowboarding enthusiasts, it’s also giving yogis a chance to get outdoors and experience its magical winter-wonderland setting first hand with the introduction of Snow Yoga.

Available to all guests, the 60-minute complimentary session encourages guests to take advantage of the tranquil landscape with a series of flowing yoga poses. Guests will get the chance to surround themselves with the natural beauty of white snow and the Rendezvous peaks as their backdrop. The class was inspired to remind people to get outside and play in the snow. "Snowga" is also a great practice for the mind, in helping to maintain focus despite the weather and scenery.

"Snow Yoga is a great practice for the mind to help maintain focus despite the surrounding elements, but we also wanted our guests to have some fun by getting outside and playing in the snow,” says spa manager Nicole Meneveau.

For the skiiers, The Spa at Four Seasons Jackson Hole is also offering the Après Ski Spa Ritual. The ritual will feature different components of heat to help alleviate sore muscles. It starts with a Himalayan salt body soak which will draw out toxins and helps cleanse the body energetically. A native hot stone massage follows, incorporating local arnica. The Wind River Arnica is one of the few producers who still hand pick the arnica flower creating much more potent oil, for optimal results. The treatment concludes with a willow bark wrap. Willow bark, a natural anti-inflammatory, is excellent for people who have been very active, as the benefits are similar to taking an aspirin.
